As a solo female traveler with some mobile disability, it is imperative that I feel safe and well-cared for in the hotels I book, particularly in large cosmopolitan cities such as London. It is worth it to pay extra for that peace of mind. This was absolutely the case during my three nights at San Domenico House. Nothing was too much trouble for the magnificently attentive staff. They make you feel like a VIP from the moment you walk through the front door and hand you a glass of prosecco along with your tasseled room key. I had selected the four-poster double room for my needs, and it was absolutely perfect for one person. Plus I'm a sucker for a four-poster bed :) It was luxurious, private and quiet. The desk is staffed 24/7 and someone is always able to buzz you in so no need to worry about being on a dark doorstep at night. In fact, the location was perfect, and I was able to walk to the bus stop at Duke of York sq. in five minutes which whizzed me around the city. Had too much fun shopping at John Lewis and drinking lattes at Pret a Manger, both right around the corner. I hated to leave and can't wait to return. Grazie!

What a wonderful place, beautifully decorated with a lot of charm and warm-hearted people! Highly recommend it if you want to have an authentic and very special experience. From the moment you enter the door of this boutique hotel, you feel very welcome and everything is smooth and pleasant. We booked this place for the Birthday anniversary celebration, and indeed we did feel very special and festive there! Our room was upgraded, it did feel joyful and very romantic! Upon arrival, we had special treats in the room with some nice chocolates, a glass of bubbles and a Birthday card! Very caring and sincere attention towards their guests, you want to come back to this place again! I would like especially to thank Carlo, who was very attentive, kind and genuine, making our stay so special and memorable!

Amazing room with elegant curtains and a luxurious king bed. We also had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the picturesque street of townhouses. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The hotel has an elevator but the stairs are easy to navigate as well, and they have a great porter to help with bags. They also have a great roof terrace with a bottled cocktail honesty bar- such a great way to unwind in the evening. The full english breakfast was fantastic and a great way to start the morning - it came served in silver covered platters to the room and was very filling for the whole day. The location was also perfectly situated in the heart of Chelsea.

This hotel has a perfect location in Chelsea. Very convenient to get to from the airports and very easy to get around to the rest of London, if you'd like. However, the area itself was incredible just for wandering around, shopping, and dining. The staff were also truly wonderful. Kind, helpful, and very attentive. They made the experience well worth what we paid. The nightly turndown service and welcome glasses of prosecco were lovely. Our room and bathroom were clean and the maid service did a great job each day.

I loved the beauty of the hotel. I felt like I had stepped into an elegant and classy home. I was made so welcome by the staff and when I returned to the hotel after a late evening event, having a cup of tea in the sitting room amidst the beautiful antiques, made it feel very much like home. No grey and featureless rooms here. My room (with mezzanine sitting room and fabulous marble bathroom) was stunning and I loved spending time on the hotel roof terrace. And of course, breakfast was delicious !
